Executive Director, Media at McKinney

Leslie DeMent has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2005 as an Account Executive at Phoenix New Times, they then worked as a Metro Account Executive at The Arizona Republic from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, Leslie joined Sunstreet Mortgage LLC as a Marketing & Sales Specialist. Leslie briefly worked as an Internet Marketing Consultant at Reach Local in 2010. From 2010 to 2016, Leslie held multiple roles at Sitewire, including Media Planner, Senior Media Planner, Paid Media Department Manager, and Demand Generation Supervisor. During their time at Sitewire, Leslie focused on digital paid media activities and building strong teams. In 2016, they joined Tailwind - An Audacious Studios Company, where they initially served as the Director of Media & Strategy and later became the Managing Director. Currently, Leslie DeMent is working at McKinney as the Group Media Director and will soon transition to the role of Executive Director, Media in 2023.

Leslie DeMent earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Later, in 2009 to 2010, Leslie pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In terms of additional certifications, Leslie is a Certified Small Giants Leader through the Small Giants Community, obtained in October 2019. Furthermore, they have also obtained a Google AdWords Certification from Google, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
