Marcel Schlepper

Marcel Schlepper is a Doctoral Student and Junior Economist at the ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research since October 2021. Currently on educational leave from McKinsey & Company, where Marcel has served as a Consultant since October 2019, prior experience includes an internship at the German Federal Ministry of Defence and a role as a Campaign Advisor to Kerstin Vieregge MdB with CDU Deutschlands. Early career positions also involve internships in journalism and consulting, as well as research assistance at the University of Warwick. Marcel's academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, an MPhil from the University of Oxford, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Warwick, complemented by a doctoral research stay at the University of Cambridge in early 2023.
