Uma Velu

Uma Velu, CISSP, is a seasoned professional in cybersecurity and information technology with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Security Architect at McKinsey & Company since January 2022, Uma previously held the position of Vice President and Principal Identity/Access Management Architect at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. from July 2015 to January 2022. Uma's prior roles include Architect and Senior J2EE Consultant at Hewlett-Packard, Senior Consultant at Ascendant Technology, and various development and architectural positions at EDS- Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA and Collaborative (Client BlueCross). Uma began a career in application development at Join Together/Boston University School of Public Health from 1999 to 2005. Educational credentials include an MS in Computer Science from Boston University, an MTECH from Pondicherry University, and a B.S. from Madurai Kamaraj University.
