In this role, they managed strategic planning, scheduling, and logistics for the First Lady's initiatives and engagements.

Before their tenure at The White House, Smith was the Director of Scheduling at the Democratic National Committee and worked as a Scheduler and Office Manager for U.S. Representative Karen Bass. In these roles, they oversaw event planning and logistical support.

With their extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, scheduling, and event management, Smith has developed a strong foundation in driving growth and managing high-level responsibilities.

MacKenzie Smith has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Prior to that, they attended Helix High School, from which they graduated in 2004.
