MacKenzie Smith

MacKenzie Smith has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. MacKenzie currently serves as the Chief Growth Officer at McKissack & McKissack, where they are responsible for driving company growth and ensuring a unified approach to business development and marketing. MacKenzie prioritizes team support and morale-building.

Prior to their current role, Smith worked as an Executive at Higher Ground, the production company of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. MacKenzie served as a senior executive in business and creative development, acting as the main liaison to the Obamas.

Smith also held positions within the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama. MacKenzie served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Michelle Obama in their private office, leading their transition from the White House and managing their schedule. Earlier, they worked at The White House as the Special Assistant to the President and Director of Scheduling and Advance for the First Lady. In this role, they managed strategic planning, scheduling, and logistics for the First Lady's initiatives and engagements.

Before their tenure at The White House, Smith was the Director of Scheduling at the Democratic National Committee and worked as a Scheduler and Office Manager for U.S. Representative Karen Bass. In these roles, they oversaw event planning and logistical support.

With their extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, scheduling, and event management, Smith has developed a strong foundation in driving growth and managing high-level responsibilities.

MacKenzie Smith has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Prior to that, they attended Helix High School, from which they graduated in 2004.
