Eric Muschler

Program Officer at McKnight Foundation

Eric Muschler serves as the Director of Housing & Health Equity at The Greater Minnesota Housing Fund since September 2021 and has been a Program Officer at The McKnight Foundation since May 2006. As the Founder of the Asset Building Policy Project from October 2003 to April 2006, Eric established policies to enhance the financial security of working families in Michigan. Eric also held the role of Executive Director at the Michigan IDA Partnership, leading the first statewide Individual Development Account Program in the nation from September 2000 to April 2006. Previous experience includes directing community economic development initiatives at United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta and managing a national housing initiative at United Way of America. Eric began a career in affordable housing as the Associate Director at the Community Land Cooperative of Cincinnati before transitioning from a brief acting career at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. Eric holds a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies/Theatre from Macalester College.
