Farmer Research Network Support And Learning Coordinator at McKnight Foundation

Mary Richardson is an adjunct professor at Université du Québec à Rimouski since September 2019 and currently serves as the Farmer Research Network support and learning coordinator at The McKnight Foundation, a role held since July 2015, which focuses on funding collaborative research for sustainable local food systems. As a consultant since January 2015, Mary Richardson utilizes anthropological inquiry and participatory action research to assist clients through various forms of capacity building and engagement. Prior experience includes tenure as a researcher and anthropologist at Institut national de santé publique from September 2009 to December 2014, and at Institut de recherche et de développement en agroenvironnement, where work concentrated on farmer-neighbour relations. Mary Richardson completed a PhD in Anthropology at Université Laval, where the doctoral thesis explored the experiences of organic farmers in Québec.
