David Hudgens has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David began their career as a Network Technician at Belton ISD in 1996 and later worked as a Computer Technician at The Software Place Plus. In 1999, David joined The University of Texas at Austin as a Computer Programmer. David then transitioned to Killeen ISD, where they served as a Campus Technologist from 2002 to 2005.
David's career in IT escalated when they joined McLane Company, Inc. in 2005 as a Windows System Administrator. David progressively took on more responsibilities, including leading a team of Windows System Administrators and overseeing the Desktop & Mobility and E-discovery teams as an IT Manager. In 2016, they were promoted to IT Manager of the E-discovery team, where they oversaw the transition to a new e-discovery solution and focused on improving the quality of eDiscovery services.
Continuing their career growth, David became a Senior IT Manager for Virtual and Storage Systems in 2021, where they played a crucial role in driving infrastructure modernization initiatives. David then served as a Senior IT Manager for Network Engineering in 2022, where they mentored and provided escalation support to the Network Engineering management.
Currently, David is the IT Director for Core Infrastructure at McLane Company, Inc. In this role, they focus on modernizing core infrastructure teams such as Virtualization & Storage, Network Engineering, and Cloud Operations. David also works on building a CloudOps practice, ensuring cyber resiliency, disaster recovery, network reliability, and observability.

David Hudgens received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Belton High School from 1994 to 1997.
