Dr. M. Ammar Hatahet, MD, MPH, FACP, currently serves as the Director of the Hatahet Center for Weight Management, focusing on evidence-based treatments for obesity and related disorders. With extensive experience in the healthcare sector, Dr. Hatahet has been the Chair of the Institutional Review Board at McLaren HealthCare System since February 2012 and has held the position of Program Director for Internal Medicine at McLaren Oakland since June 2018. Previously, Dr. Hatahet directed the Center for Diabetes Management and Weight Control, implementing a comprehensive medical weight loss program, and served as the Director of Clinical Research and Section Chief of Internal Medicine at McLaren Oakland Hospital.
