Sowmya Sridhar

Managing Director, MSV Cares Foundation at McLaren Strategic Ventures

Sowmya Sridhar has extensive work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Sowmya began their career in 2013 as a Strategic Business Consultant for UST Global. In 2017, Sridhar Co-Founded Xyant Services, a Women Owned digital transformation company. In 2018, they became a Board Member on the Advisory Board for both Oklahoma Women in Technology (OKWIT) and Startup 405. In 2020, Sridhar joined Boyd Street Ventures as a Strategic Advisor and Echo Investment Capital as a Sr. Advisor. Sowmya also became a Board Member on the Advisory Board for Purse Power Inc. and Co-Chair of the State of Oklahoma for 50/50 Women on Boards. Most recently, in 2022 Sridhar joined McLaren Strategic Ventures (MSV) as the Managing Director of MSV Cares Foundation and an Advisory Board Member for Larynx.ai.

Sowmya Sridhar has a diverse educational background. Sowmya began their studies in 1987 at Stella Maris College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. From 1990 to 1994, Sridhar attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of Engineering. In 2018, Sridhar earned a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, with a field of study in Energy and Natural Resources Law. In 2019, they attended the Texas McCombs School of Business and earned an Executive Education focusing on the Energy, Oil and Gas industry, with participating companies BP, Shell, Exxon and Chevron. Finally, in 2021, Sridhar attended Harvard Business School for two Executive Education programs: Women on Boards: Succeeding as a Corporate Director and Foundations of Private Equity and Venture Capital. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, Sridhar attended Harvard Kennedy School for an Executive Education in Public Leadership, with a focus on Negotiation across Borders, Leadership for 21st century, and Women and Public Policy.
