Andrea Dobin

Andrea Dobin concentrates her practice in the areas of Bankruptcy, Debtor/Creditor Rights and Commercial Litigation.

Andrea represents, in particular, Chapter 7 Trustees, litigants in adversary proceedings, secured creditors, Creditors’ Committees and interested parties in Chapter 11 proceedings.

Since 1999, Andrea has served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee for the District of New Jersey appointed by the Office of United States Trustee. She has also served as a Chapter 11 trustee and is frequently appointed to serve as a Chapter 12 Trustee for the few family farmer cases filed in New Jersey.

Andrea is a former partner of the law firm of Sterns & Weinroth, where she served as chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy/Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. Since 2012 Andrea has served on the District Ethics Committee in and for Mercer County and is serving as the Chair of the Committee from September 2017 through August 2019.

Andrea is active in the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal, the quarterly publication of that Association. Andrea also serves on the Board of Directors of One Simple Wish, a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children in the foster care system.
