Michele M. Dudas

Michele M. Dudas concentrates her practice in the areas of Bankruptcy, Debtor-Creditor Rights, Corporate Restructuring and Commercial Litigation.

She has appeared and litigated a broad range of matters in federal and state courts in areas such as bankruptcy, fraudulent transfers and contract disputes. During these proceedings, Michele has represented Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 debtors, Chapter 7 and 11 Trustees for-profit and not-for-profit agencies, secured and unsecured creditors, assignors and assignees for the benefit of creditors and borrowers. Michele is also involved in various out-of-court workouts and represents purchasers and sellers of commercial assets.

In June 2018, following a ten day jury trial in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean County, Michele obtained a $5,000,000 unanimous verdict by a seven person jury on behalf of a Chapter 7 Trustee. The case arose from an oral breach of contract claim by the Plaintiff-Chapter 7 Debtor.

Michele assists various pro bono clients throughout the year. She has presented bankruptcy seminars on behalf of Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, and was named their Pro Bono Attorney of the Month in September 2008. She has also presented in the New Jersey Financial Literacy Project (NJFLiP), where high school students are taught about the importance of various financial issues, including creditworthiness and identity theft.
