Dinuri Punchihewa

Dinuri Punchihewa is currently a Thesis Student and Research Assistant at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, focusing on a randomized control trial to address recurrent urinary tract infections. Dinuri also serves as a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University for various biology courses and has experience as a Customer Service Representative at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Prior roles include Research Assistant positions at McMaster University, the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research, Healthcare Systems R&A Inc., and The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, engaging in projects related to atherosclerosis, infectious diseases, psychoactive drugs, and cancer therapeutics. Dinuri is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science in Biology and Pharmacology at McMaster University, with an educational background in Life Science from the International Baccalaureate program and St. John Paul II Catholic Secondary School.
