Emma Richardson

Emma Richardson serves as a part-time Assistant Professor of Public Health at McMaster University since November 2015 and has been a Senior Policy Advisor at Indigenous Services Canada since November 2020, where leadership in clean energy policy and aquaculture is a primary focus. A former Senior Advisor within Global Affairs Canada, Emma led Canada's delegation to the UN for agencies including UN Women and contributed significant policy development in various roles, including acting as Deputy Director for the Peace & Stabilization Operations Program. Emma has a robust academic background with a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from LSE and the University of North Carolina, respectively.
