Katy Celina Sandoval

Katy Celina Sandoval, MSc, serves as the Poderosas Circle Coordinator and Founder at McMaster University since September 2020, while also being involved in various academic and mentorship roles, including Women Circle Coordinator and Graduate Teaching Assistant for Neuroanatomy & Neurophysiology. Sandoval has experience as a Digital Content Strategist at Queen's University and has held positions at Bishop's University as a Student Mentor and Knowledge Mobilization Fellow in Multimessenger Astrophysics. Previous roles include Network Facilitator for The Students Commission of Canada, Content Creator at 8 Bit Cortex, and Graduate Teaching Assistant across multiple psychology courses at the University of Calgary. Sandoval co-founded the BU Snooze Room during undergraduate studies and has a strong background in research, laboratory techniques, and student mentorship. The educational journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from McMaster University, a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and other relevant degrees and certificates from institutions such as Bishop's University and Dawson College.
