Rob Hicks

Rob Hicks has extensive work experience in the field of marketing and recruitment. Rob most recently served as the Director of Marketing (International Recruitment) at McMaster University starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Director of Marketing (International Recruitment) at the same university from November 2019 to June 2023.

Before joining McMaster University, Rob Hicks was the Director of International Student Recruitment at Mohawk College from September 2018 to October 2019. Rob also served as the Director of Engagement (Admissions and Marketing) at the English International School Prague from August 2013 to September 2017. In this role, they managed the admissions and marketing team, focusing on increasing student enrollment and positioning the school as the top choice.

Rob Hicks worked as a Communications Officer at UWC International, a global education charity, from September 2010 to July 2013. Rob was responsible for internal and external communications, including print, digital, brand, design, crisis communications, and social media.

Earlier in their career, Rob Hicks held positions at the University of Leicester as Percy Gee Appeal Executive from July 2009 to January 2010 and as Student Activities Officer at the University of Leicester Students' Union from July 2008 to June 2009.

Rob Hicks attended Alleynes from 2000 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they studied at the University of Leicester, where they earned a BA Hons degree in American Studies.
