Lauren Thompson is a seasoned art museum professional with extensive experience in curatorial roles, currently serving as the Curator of Exhibitions at McNay Art Museum since September 2018. Previously, Lauren held various positions at the same institution, including Assistant Curator and Semmes Foundation Intern in Museum Studies. Additional experience includes roles as a Visitor Services and Gallery Assistant at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and a Visual Resource Library Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas Christian University. Lauren has also contributed to the field as an intern at notable institutions such as the Judd Foundation and Rubell Family Collection, as well as serving in educational capacities at Clowvazar Academy. Lauren's academic background includes a Master's degree in Art History from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor's degree in Art History and Anthropology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
