David Borchardt

David Borchardt is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and real estate, currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at MD Energy Advisors since January 2022. In addition, David is the Principal Owner of DPRM LLC, where consulting services focus on high performance building operations, constructability, and sustainability. With extensive teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor in the Masters of Professional Studies in Real Estate at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, David has developed and teaches a course on Sustainable Development and Construction. Previous roles include Vice President of Project Engineering at Lightility, where a national lighting upgrade program achieved significant energy savings, and Vice President of Development at Lerner Enterprises, overseeing real estate construction and development. Earlier experience as Chief Sustainability Officer at The Tower Companies involved managing the design and construction of new buildings and major renovations. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University.
