Leslie Swartman

Leslie Swartman is a seasoned professional in government and public affairs with over three decades of experience. Since January 2010, Leslie has been with MDA Space, serving as Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs since June 2020, where responsibilities include advocacy on public policy and engagement with the federal government. Prior to MDA, Leslie was a Principal at The Brantwood Group and held key positions such as Director of Communications for the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition, Chief of Staff for both the Ministers of Transport and Agriculture and Agri-Food, and Director of Communications for the Office of the Minister for International Trade. Leslie's extensive background in strategic communications and media relations has been cultivated through various roles, including as Press Officer in the Prime Minister's Office. Leslie holds a Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts in French and Political Science from McMaster University.
