Mali Velasco

Mali Velasco Kurupassery is a Senior Communications Specialist at MDB, Inc. since September 2020, with prior experience as an Epidemiological/Geospatial Data Intern at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc., where responsibilities included developing and maintaining a malaria database for Cambodia. Educational qualifications include a Master of Environmental Management with a focus on Ecotoxicology and Environmental Health from Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment and a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additional roles have included Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Duke, Research Intern at Clean Water for North Carolina, and various research and tutoring positions during undergraduate studies. A strong focus on data analysis and outreach efforts in environmental and public health fields is evident throughout Mali's career.
