Asha Daniere

Asha Daniere is an independent strategic advisor to companies in the technology and media sectors. Previously, Ms. Daniere served as EVP, Legal & Business Affairs at Blue Ant Media Inc., where she was instrumental in negotiating and closing M&A transactions, complex production and distribution deals and other key transactions. She also worked closely with the company’s Board of Directors and management team on strategic planning, exploring new acquisition opportunities and risk management.

Ms. Daniere has a proven track record of facilitating growth in media and technology companies through the execution of complex international acquisitions and strategic decision-making. In each of her senior deal-making roles over the last decade, she has led the negotiation of transformative transactions and been instrumental in increasing value.

Formerly, Ms. Daniere acted as Senior Vice-President and General Counsel for Score Media Inc. In addition to her experience as counsel to established media companies in Canada, Ms. Daniere practiced law in New York as an associate at White and Case LLP and subsequently as in-house counsel to The Topps Company, Inc. Ms. Daniere also held a position as General Counsel at internet start-up, Fun Technologies Inc.

Ms. Daniere is a current Board member of the Toronto International Film Festival and Canopy Rivers Inc., where she serves on the Audit Committee and Chairs the Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee.

Ms. Daniere received her J.D. from Tulane Law School and her B.A. from the University of Toronto.
