Kevan Hayat

Kevan Hayat is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in affordable housing finance consulting and real estate development. Currently serving as General Counsel at MDG Design & Construction since April 2024, Kevan previously held the position of Vice President of Strategy and Associate General Counsel at Beacon Communities LLC from November 2022 to April 2024. Prior to that role, Kevan was Managing Director at Forsyth Street Advisors for five years, specializing in affordable housing finance. From April 2012 to March 2017, Kevan worked at the New York City Housing Authority, progressing from Senior Project Manager to Senior Vice President and Vice President, focusing on real estate development. Earlier experience includes serving as Agency Attorney for real estate and economic development and as a Legal Fellow in the Office of the Mayor of New York City. Kevan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University.
