Dennis L. Shubert

Dennis Shubert is a retired neurosurgeon, hospital administrator and a passionate community health advocate.

He received his M.D. from George Washington University Medical School and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He later went on to receive a Masters in Health Care Management from Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Shubert established his medical practice in Bangor, Maine in 1982 and served as the chairman of the Department of Surgery at Eastern Maine Medicine Center from 1991 until 2003. He served as the vice president of Medical Affairs at St. Joseph Healthcare from 2009 – 2013 and chief medical officer for Covenant Health from 2013 until his retirement in 2018.
