Keondae Ervin joins MDIC as a Senior Project Manager. He brings many years of professional and academic experience in Health Care Systems, Public Health Disparities Research, Chemistry, and Toxicology, as well as working for a private health insurance company that provides Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Marketplace health benefits for its members.
Prior to working at MDIC, Keondae was a Program Assistant in the Contract Management Department at the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) in Washington D.C. At PCORI, he carried out implementation (and improvement) of business processes, data collection, and reporting. He also served as the inaugural Administrator for the PPRN (Patient-Powered Research Network) Engagement Awards, a PCORnet initiative. Championing these awards to the executed status involved funding announcement development, budgetary reviews, and contract negotiations. Prior to PCORI, he was a Provider Benefit Expert for MeridianHealth of Michigan, providing complex support in Utilization Management, Appeals and Denials, and Claims in the Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial business lines. He has interests in public health disparities and environmental health and toxicology research.
Keondae has an MS in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University as well as a BS in Geography and Mathematics from Central Michigan University. He is currently pursuing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
