Ian O. has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2019, they worked as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Sibel Health. From 2020 to 2021, they served as a Business Analyst at Playback Health. In 2022, Ian was a recipient of the MSTAR Grant Awardee at the National Institute on Aging and also worked as a Co Director of Medical Devices and Wearables at MD++. In 2023, they served as a U.S. National Science Foundation's Innovation Corps Grant Entrepreneurial Lead at the National Science Foundation. Currently, Ian is an MD Innovation Fellow at Sinai BioDesign and also a THRIVE Fellow. Throughout their work experience, Ian has demonstrated their abilities in various roles within the medical and engineering fields.

Ian O. completed their primary and secondary education at Horace Greeley High School from 2012 to 2016. Ian then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, they participated in the Global Healthcare Technologies Program in South Africa at Stellenbosch University. From 2017 to 2017, Ian attended the Spanish Language and Culture Summer Program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Currently, Ian is studying at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where they are working towards their Doctor of Medicine degree, expected to be completed in 2025.
