Melinda Steckler

Melinda Steckler, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Melinda is currently the Director of Human Resources at MDU Resources Group, Inc. since 2018. Prior to this, they held various roles at Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., including Human Resource Manager from 2013 to 2017, Employee Relations Manager from 2011 to 2013, and Senior HR Generalist from 2007 to 2011. Before their time at Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., they worked as an HR Assistant at the City of Bismarck from 2000 to 2007. Melinda also has experience as a Service Manager at FedEx Ground from 1997 to 2000 and as an Adult Education Teacher at Dickinson Public Schools from 1996 to 1999.

Melinda Steckler, PHR obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Social Science Education from North Dakota State University in the years 1991-1995. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2007 and the SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in 2015. Melinda has also completed various training programs, such as "Building & Leading Effective Teams" from Columbia Business School, "Fostering Inclusion and Diversity" from Yale School of Management, "Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility" from UC Berkeley Executive Education, and "Leading Through Financial Excellence" from MIT Sloan School of Management.
