Keri Hutchins SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Keri began their career as an HR Assistant at Telect in 1999 and subsequently worked as the Director of HR at West Corporation, where they led a team of 15 staff members and was responsible for various HR functions such as staffing plans, budgets, and HR metrics. Following their tenure at West Corporation, Keri served as the HR Manager at Kootenai Electric Cooperative, where they managed the HR department and oversaw the analysis and development of benefit programs, wellness programs, and supervisory and policy-related trainings. Keri then went on to work as the Director of HR at Coeur D Alene Casino, where they led the strategic planning and leadership of HR and employee development for 40+ departments and 1,000 full-time employees. Most recently, Keri has been working as the Director of HR for Mead School District since 2011. In this role, they provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors on personnel practices and employment laws, while also making and enforcing difficult decisions regarding staffing and employment needs. Additionally, Keri has served as a Board Member for HRNNI from 2007 to 2011.
Keri Hutchins SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a Master's degree in Human Relations in Business, which they obtained from Amberton University between the years 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management and General Business Management from Eastern Washington University from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, they attended Columbia Basin College in 1992 and also obtained a High School Diploma from Kiona Benton in 1993.
In terms of certifications, Keri Hutchins holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute, which they obtained in December 2005. Keri also has a SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM, although the specific dates of obtainment are not provided.
