Dragos Velicanu

Dragos Velicanu is a seasoned data engineering professional and co-founder at Meadow AI, where the role of Chief Technology Officer began in April 2024. Velicanu previously served as Lead Data Engineer at Dave from November 2021 to April 2024 and as Staff Data Engineer at Manifold from January 2019 to October 2021. Earlier experiences include a role as a Data Engineer at Insight Data Science in late 2018, where innovative data storage solutions for blockchain data were developed, and a self-employed tenure in algorithmic trading from June 2017 to September 2018. Velicanu's academic background includes a PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2017, following a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Columbia University.
