David Bauer has extensive experience in compliance operations and management, currently serving as the Manager of Compliance Operations at Meals on Wheels Central Texas since April 2019. Prior to this role, David had a 26-year career in the United States Air Force, where positions included Program Manager overseeing personnel and logistics for aircraft valued at over $19 billion, Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent managing contract maintenance operations, and various roles in avionics, quality assurance, and leadership. David holds an Associate of Science degree in Avionic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and completed multiple leadership training programs at Air University.

Meals on Wheels Central Texas is one of the largest meal-delivery organizations in the state, distributing 3,000 meals each business day to homebound older adults and people with disabilities. Part of the Austin community since 1972, MOWCTX believes in holistic case management and also offers the following services to our clients through our many programs: minor and major home repairs; grocery shopping assistance; a monthly supply of shelf-stable groceries; extra, daily, shelf-stable meals for the nutritionally at-risk; veteran services; problem-solving therapies; rural meal delivery; Alzheimer's respite; and pet food and pet health care for our clients’ dogs and cats.
