Palwasha Mokhles

Palwasha Mokhles is an experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as an Oogarts at Meander Medisch Centrum since January 2024. Mokhles has been associated with the University Eye Clinic Maastricht since 2014, both as a PhD candidate and an Oogarts in opleiding. Previous roles include Ophthalmologist at Laurentius Ziekenhuis in 2023, a Fellowship in medical retina at Het Oogziekenhuis Rotterdam in 2023, and committee membership at the Pelerin symposium from 2016 to 2017. Mokhles' earlier experience includes medical internship at Erasmus MC from 2012 to 2014, and research participation with Integrated Primary Care Information and the Dutch HIV Monitoring Foundation from 2008 to 2014. Mokhles holds a Drs in Medicine from Erasmus University Rotterdam (2007-2014), a Master of Science in Health Sciences with specialization in Clinical Epidemiology from the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (2009-2012), and completed training in Public Health at Harvard Medical School in 2011.
