Edmund Kong

Edmund Kong is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at MEASAT Global Berhad since February 2016. Prior to this role, Kong held positions at Orbital ATK, starting as the GEOStar Product Line and Advanced Concept Chief Engineer from September 2012 to January 2016, and as Program Chief Engineer from September 2007 to August 2012, managing multi-million dollar program budgets and leading spacecraft development initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Orbital Sciences Corporation and as a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where research focused on formation flight control algorithms for the SPHERES project onboard the International Space Station. Edmund Kong holds a PhD in Aerospace Systems and a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Space Engineering from The University of Queensland.
