John Isbister

John Isbister has over 30 years of experience in accident investigation and law enforcement. Currently serving as a Senior Crash Reconstructionist at Mecanica Scientific Services Corporation since February 2020, Isbister specializes in providing scientific and engineering consulting services to various industries, including transportation and insurance. Prior experience includes a 32-year tenure with the California Highway Patrol, where Isbister held multiple roles, including MAIT Investigator, Officer, and Communications Operator. Isbister also served as an Operations Sergeant in the CA Army National Guard from 1985 to 2007. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from California State University, Long Beach, completed in 1999.
