Scott Black

Scott Black is a highly experienced GIS professional with over 22 years of expertise in geographic information systems. As a Sr. GIS Analyst at Mecklenburg County GIS Mapping and Project Services Division since November 2001, Scott provides primary GIS support to various county departments, including Parks and Recreation and the Emergency Operation Center. Prior to this role, Scott served as a GIS Research Analyst at Advance Auto Parts, Inc., conducting demographic analyses and defining trade areas based on statistical data. Earlier in Scott's career, a position as a GIS Technician at Geo-Marine, Inc. involved performing GIS analysis and data management. Scott holds a BA in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, completed in 1999.
