Vivek Kumar, PhD, DABCC, FAACC has extensive experience in the field of clinical chemistry and laboratory management. Vivek'smost recent position was as Director of Science at Quest Diagnostics | med fusion, where they played a critical role in enhancing productivity and quality of laboratory results. Prior to that, they served as Scientific Director and Technical Director at med fusion, leading various departments and spearheading the development of new tests and initiatives to improve laboratory services.

Dr. Kumar has also held positions at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where they served as an Associate Professor, and at Beaumont Health System, where they worked as a Clinical Chemist providing technical guidance and conducting research and development of new tests.

Vivek'searly career included a fellowship at Mayo Clinic, where they gained expertise in clinical chemistry and led research projects in areas such as serum hormone quantification and fecal fat measurement.

Dr. Kumar completed their PhD at PGIMER, where they focused on studying the mechanism of action of thyroid hormones on calcium and phosphate transport systems. Vivek has published numerous original articles in international journals throughout their career. Additionally, they are a Fellow of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) and holds Diplomate status from the American Board of Clinical Chemistry (DABCC).

Vivek Kumar, PhD, DABCC, FAACC has an extensive education history in the field of clinical chemistry and biochemistry. Vivek completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, a prestigious institution, between 1994 and 2000. Following this, Vivek pursued a Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School from 2007 to 2009, specializing further in clinical chemistry.

In addition to their academic achievements, Vivek has obtained various certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2010, they earned the DABCC (Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry) certification from the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, further validating their knowledge and skills in clinical chemistry.
