John Barnes

John Barnes is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in various roles within the aviation and military sectors. Currently serving as Base Aviation Manager at Med-Trans Corporation since May 2020, John conducts helicopter EMS transports and ensures compliance with federal and company regulations for safe operations. Prior to this, John has held multiple positions in the US Army, including Pilot Instructor and Maintenance Officer, overseeing maintenance for UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and ensuring high operational rates. John also managed the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Center while serving as Hagler Airfield Commander, where oversight included payroll management for 15 employees. With a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics from Liberty University, John brings a strong educational foundation and significant expertise in aeromedical evacuation and helicopter maintenance testing.
