Adeola Akintoye has extensive experience in finance and management roles within various organizations. Adeola is currently working as the Director of Finance at Medair, a humanitarian organization focused on providing aid to vulnerable populations. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director at Greenpeace International. Akintoye also held the position of Head of International Finance at WaterAid, where they played a key role in developing finance strategy and policies. Adeola has volunteer experience with the We CAN Leadership Institute and has held several managerial positions at OxfamGB and Oxfam. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Finance Manager at Equinox London and held finance roles at Bridge Housing Association and Inquilab Housing Association.
Adeola Akintoye pursued a Bachelor of Economics degree, specializing in Economics, Accounting, Sociology, and Philosophy, from Obafemi Awolowo University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed their GCE O'levels at Comprehensive High School from 1980 to 1985, focusing on English, Maths, Economics, Biology, Religious studies, and Government.
Adeola went on to earn a Diploma in Accounting from the University of West London during 1994-1996. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University, completing their studies from 2000 to 2003.
Most recently, Adeola undertook a Master's degree program in Leadership and Development at King's College London. Adeola attended the program from 2019 to 2022.
