Edwin Asante

Edwin Asante is an experienced humanitarian professional, currently serving as the Country Director for Medair since November 2016. Prior to this role, Edwin has held significant positions in organizations such as World Vision, where responsibilities included serving as the West Africa Regional Director in Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, and as the Country Programme Director focusing on South Sudan. Edwin's engineering background includes tenure as Deputy Director for Engineering and Development at the Volta River Authority, overseeing civil, irrigation, and machinery divisions. Academic credentials encompass postgraduate degrees in Engineering from Cranfield University and the International Institute for Advanced Mediterranean Studies, as well as degrees in Agriculture and Education from the University of Cape Coast, among others.
