Mike Ahlering

Mike Ahlering has a strong background in medical technology and research. Mike started their career at UCI Medical Center as a Research Associate, where they assisted with urology research and coauthored papers on various topics. Mike then moved on to Applied Medical as a Senior R&D Engineer, where they gained experience in design control and ISO 9001 compliance. At Devax Inc., they obtained FDA approval for a limus eluting coronary bifurcation stent and helped compile the technical file for CE mark. Mike also worked at Biosensors Intl., where they focused on technology transfer and training operators on specific coating techniques. Mike then joined MedAlliance SA as a Medical Device R&D Engineering Consultant, where they designed and prototyped drug-coated balloons and cobalt chromium stents. Currently, Mike is working at MedAlliance Swiss Medical Technology as a Principal R&D Engineer, leading the development of drug-coated balloons and utilizing their skills in formulation and solvent processing.

Mike Ahlering attended The Johns Hopkins University from 1999 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
