David P. Blom

Vice Chair at MedAssets, Inc.

David Blom was president and CEO of OhioHealth, a not-for-profit, faith-based health system in Columbus, until his retirement in July 2019. He had served in this leadership role since March 2002. Blom joined the OhioHealth family in 1983 and served in multiple capacities. Under his leadership, OhioHealth grew from $1.2 billion in annual revenues to over $5 billion, and from six to 13 member hospitals, as well as providing management of two additional hospitals and support for nine under an affiliation agreement. Blom also established a geographically dispersed ambulatory care network, formed a large employed physician network and facilitated multiple joint ventures. He instilled among OhioHealth’s 30,000 associates, physicians and volunteers serving a 47-county area in the state a strong devotion to improving the health of those they serve. Under Blom, OhioHealth was recognized by Fortune as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” for 13 years in a row.
