Anna Barón

Scientific Advisor at MedAware Systems

Dr. Barón received her PhD from University of Texas School of Public Health, specializing in Biometry. Her professional interests also include Epidemiology and Health Economics.

Dr. Barón has received a number of prestigious awards including a Ford Foundation Minority Postdoctoral Fellowship, a Research Fellowship funded by National Cancer Institute International Affairs Program, Italian National Research Council, and Centro di Riferimento Oncologico, in Aviano (PN), Italy. Visiting Scientist Fellowship Award, International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon France, and was inducted as a Faculty Member into the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

Dr. Barón is a member of American Statistical Association – Biometrics, Statistical Computing and Graphics; the International Biometric Society, the Caucus for Women in Statistics, and the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science.
