Dr. Whetstone is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and practices emergency medicine at Moffitt-Long Hospital and San Francisco General Hospital.
He specializes in Spinal Cord Injury, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring, Neurological Emergencies, Wilderness Medicine, and Head Injuries. Dr. Whetstone has authored or co-authored numerous research papers on spinal cord injuries as well as contributed to a number of highly acclaimed textbooks in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Whetstone is a graduate of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
