Daniel Veres MD PhD

Daniel Veres MD PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Currently, they serve as the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Turbine, where they utilize their expertise in cancer research to translate computational results into clinical interpretations for designing innovative cancer treatments. Daniel is responsible for understanding the scientific and medical challenges in the biopharma industry and guiding teams of biologists, translational scientists, and data scientists to generate novel findings. Prior to Turbine, Daniel held the position of Chief Medical/Scientific Officer and Co-Founder at the same company.

In terms of their academic background, Daniel worked as a Research Fellow and Research Associate at Semmelweis University from 2017 to present. Before that, from 2014 to 2017, they served as a Mentor and Module Leader at Milestone Institute and also as an Emergency Physician at FŐNIX-MED Zrt. Daniel was an External Research Associate at DZZOM - The Network Medicine Company from 2014 to 2015, a Visiting Researcher at The Institute of Cancer Research and University of Cambridge in 2014.

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked as the Editor-in-Chief and medical journalist at NilNocere.hu from 2011 to 2013 and as a Scientific journalist at mRNS.hu from 2010 to 2011. Daniel Veres MD PhD attended Semmelweis University from 2007 to 2013, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medicine. Daniel then pursued Oncology and Cancer Biology and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Semmelweis University from 2013 to 2017. In addition, from 2010 to 2014, they were a guest student at Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem, studying Information Technology.
