Jessica Gu is a highly experienced Clinical Director of Genetics at Medcan, where responsibilities include overseeing the growth of the Genetics Program and providing genetic counselling services. Jessica has held various roles within the genetics field, including Genetic Counsellor and Clinic Lead, demonstrating expertise in both clinical operations and patient advocacy across multiple healthcare settings. Prior positions include Laboratory Genetic Counsellor at Mount Sinai Hospital and various roles in pediatric genetics at Advocate Health Care and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University and possesses additional degrees in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and Developmental Biology from the University of Toronto.
