Ellen Verryt

Ellen Verryt is a seasoned professional in the humanitarian and social justice sectors, currently serving as Regiocoördinator Vlaanderen bij Dokters van de Wereld since May 2021, where responsibilities include developing regional strategies and overseeing projects aimed at providing support for vulnerable populations. Prior roles include Project Officer for a healthcare initiative in Antwerp, and positions at EPO focused on press and marketing within a socially engaged publishing house, as well as coordination roles at Oxfam-Wereldwinkels and Globalize Solidarity advocating for fair trade and progressive health policies. With extensive experience in international solidarity and project evaluation from a tenure at WSM, and a foundational role as Junior Officer at the United Nations Development Programme, Ellen also holds degrees in Orthopedagogie, and specialized training in human rights. Additionally, Ellen's recent education includes a program for practitioners working with undocumented migrants.
