Médecins du Monde
Nadja Pollaert is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the humanitarian and rights advocacy sectors. Since October 2014, Nadja has served as the Directrice générale at Médecins du Monde. In addition, Nadja has been a member of the Conseil d’orientation CERIUM since September 2019 and co-chaired the Humanitarian Response Network Canada from April 2018 to January 2020. Previously, Nadja held the position of Director General at the International Bureau for Children's Rights from September 2007 to January 2014, focusing on promoting and defending children's rights as outlined in the UN Convention. Nadja has also contributed as a board member of the Canadian Coalition for the Rights of the Child from 2007 to 2012 and coordinated efforts at the Committee to Aid Refugees from 1998 to 2003, advocating for asylum seekers and victims of torture. Academically, Nadja holds a Masters in Political Science from Université de Montréal, a Maîtrise in International Relations from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, a Baccalauréat in Middle Eastern Studies from The University of Göttingen, and a License in Political Science from Johanne Wolfgang Goethe Frankfurt.
