Tony Soto

Tony Soto has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to system administration and engineering. Tony began their career at Motorola in 1990 as a Senior System Administrator, where they worked with a team to support over 150 machines running AIX with HACMP clusters. In 2002, Tony joined OCC as a Unix Administrator, where they performed tasks such as configuring Veritas Cluster Services and migrating servers. Tony later became the Manager of Linux and Unix Services, leading a team of administrators and ensuring compliance with security guidelines. Tony's most recent role is with Medecision, where they are currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer & Team Lead.

Tony Soto completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from online platforms such as Coursera and Linux Academy. Some of these certifications include "Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services," "Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Workloads," "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner 2020," "Kubernetes Essentials," and "Kubernetes Quick Start." Tony also has certifications in AWS Concepts, AWS Essentials, Ansible Quick Start, Docker Quick Start, Git Quick Start, and Jenkins Quick Start.
