Kate Batkin

Kate Batkin has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Kate currently holds the position of Chief People & Capability Officer at Medenterprises, where they are responsible for developing a world-class people strategy and providing strategic leadership and guidance. Previously, they worked as the Head of Human Resources at Medenterprises, overseeing the HR team and contributing insights from a strategic HR perspective. Kate has also served as a Board Trustee at Wakatipu Youth Trust and a Licensed Immigration Adviser at Queenstown Immigration. Kate has a background in Human Resources, having worked as a Human Resources Manager at NZSki Ltd and as a Human Resources Advisor at Queenstown Lakes District Council. Additionally, Kate has held positions in various marketing and coordination roles at Destination Queenstown Inc and Millbrook Resort. Kate has demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic planning, recruitment, and event management.

Kate Batkin attended the University of Otago from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Management and a Bachelor of Tourism degree with Honours in Tourism. In 2018, they pursued further education at the Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, obtaining a Graduate Diploma in NZ Immigration Advice. In 2022, they attended Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and obtained a Kate Papa Tikanga NZ Certificate in Tikanga with a specialization in Mātauranga Māori. Kate Batkin also holds multiple additional certifications, including being a Licensed Immigration Adviser and a Chartered Member of Human Resources New Zealand.
