Hongjing Xia

Hongjing Xia has a wealth of work experience. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder of mederrata, where they develop and applies analytical techniques to better inform health care delivery and consumption for all stakeholders. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Point72 in various roles, including Investment Team, Vice President, Team Lead, and Associate. In 2014, they were a Machine Learning Scientist Intern at Amazon's Transaction Risk Management System Team, where they demonstrated a 40% relative performance boost in capturing transactional fraud dollars. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA.

Hongjing Xia attended Nanjing University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Depts. of Electronic Science and Engineering. In 2007, they completed an exchange study at The University of Hong Kong in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Hongjing then attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
