Essi Sarkkinen

Essi Sarkkinen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the clinical research and regulatory affairs field. Essi started their career in 2001 as the Managing and Research Director at Oy Foodfiles Ltd, where they served for 11 years. Following that, they joined Oy Foodfiles Ltd, member of the Foodfiles Group, as the Chief Operating Officer for Clinical Research from 2012 to 2014. Essi then moved on to Oy Medfiles Ltd, where they held various roles including Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert in Food&Nutrition from 2014 to 2019, Director of Clinical Research from 2019 to 2022, and Director, Clinical & Non-pharma regulatory affairs from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Business Development&Clinical Research at Oy Medfiles Ltd.

Essi Sarkkinen obtained their Ph.D in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Eastern Finland. Essi pursued their doctoral studies from 1984 to 1996.
