Matt Chapman

Matt Chapman has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Matt is currently working as a Senior Backend/DevOps Engineer at Media Distillery since October 2022. Previously, they worked at OBI4wan from 2017 to 2022, where they held the role of Technical Lead (Chatbots) and Backend Software Engineer. At OBI4wan, they worked with various technologies such as Python, Django, Django Rest Framework, Angular, Kubernetes, Docker, ElasticSearch, MySQL, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS, GCP, Linux, and Windows/Windows Server. In addition to their technical responsibilities, Matt also fulfilled operations and administration roles for server hardware and AWS/GCP hosted services. Before joining OBI4wan, they worked at Buzzcapture as a Backend Software Engineer and as a Software Engineering Intern. Matt began their career at Ultamation Limited as a Control Systems Engineer from 2011 to 2016.

Matt Chapman received their bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Liverpool, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Matt then pursued a master's degree in Software Engineering at the University of Amsterdam from 2016 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Matt also obtained various certifications in cloud infrastructure and automation, including Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation, and Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure. These certifications were obtained from Coursera in 2020.
