Media Impact Funders
Shannon Thomas currently serves as the Manager of Member Engagement for Media Impact Funders, starting in January 2024. Previously, Thomas held roles including Manager of Events and New Initiatives at the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, Manager of Programs and Special Events at the Science History Institute, and Program Manager at Doc Society, where leadership included support for the Good Pitch Local program and securing funding. Earlier experiences include an Executive Assistant position at Brooklyn Arts Council, an Administrator role at KentPresents, and a Bar Tender position at Beer Rebellion Peckham. Educationally, Shannon Thomas earned a Master of Arts in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bard College, supplemented by a study abroad program at Central European University.
